Female Paladin

Courtney Ashtree is a Spear Maiden in the service of the king.

Well, not really. She would have been had her father not pulled year out of the academy six months before the completion of her training.

You see, he had arranged a marriage for her with the wealthy son of a baron. Her father felt it was better to have ties to the wealthy rather than to the government.

But that was before the Dark Ones attacked.

The kingdom is in chaos and the Spear Maidens are gone.

Arranged marriage be damned, someone has to stand up to those cultist!

Her armor was forged especially for her though it doesn’t give her any more confidence. It’s not easy when you’re the last of your kind.

But she has a job to do.

It helps that Courtney has a cat as a companion and a guide. Well, sort of. The cat doesn’t talk and isn’t magical or anything but it’s cleaver and that’s something.

She’ll make it through somehow.
