Sigrid is the daughter of Norin the Adamant, great hero of the Dark Mountain Dwarves. When It came time to send a warrior to help in the usual quest to save the world is was to be the honor of the kings eldest son, Twillbert. Unfortunately Twillbert was a lazy coward. So it was up to Sigrid to go and represent the strength of her people. Twillberts mother, angry at this insult, contracted a witch to curse Sigrid, she was to be so ugly that none of her allies would look upon her face without revulsion. Sigrid caught wind of this and being adamant as her father she simple put on a mask and went off to war. Besides, Sigrid had always been plain. She would cry tears over her disfigurement when the quest was over. Little did she know that the witch being impressed with the Sigrids courage and character, granted her a face of devastating beauty. Unfortunately the witch was slain for her treachery and did not get word to Sigrid. On those rare occasions she would remove her mask to eat or to scratch her nose Sigrid would marvel at how men and boys alike would stare, trip over their feet, and mumble incoherently at the very sight of her. They would smile uncomfortably and then give her compliments and little presents. Oh, she would think Im so ugly that they pity me!
I really like that character background and the art is stellar as well.
A two-hit combo of awesome!

She strikes me as a Valkyrie-Dwarf. I think it's the braids and the winged helmet.
